Privacy policy
The Honest Playbook (“we,” “us”) runs honestplaybook.com. This page explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Questions and votes you send us. If you use the forms on our Ask page, we receive what you type, plus your name and email if you choose to include them. We use this only to read and respond to you and to plan episodes. If you ask us to keep it anonymous, we won’t mention your name on the show.
- Email updates. If you subscribe, we keep your email address to send new episodes and posts. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Basic site statistics. Our host, WordPress.com, and its Jetpack tools collect standard visit information (such as pages viewed, browser type and approximate location) to show us anonymous traffic stats and to block spam.
Embedded videos and links
Episode videos are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode. When you press play, YouTube may collect information under Google’s privacy policy. Links to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Instagram and TikTok take you to those services, which have their own policies.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, and you can ask us to delete anything you’ve sent us. Use the question form and tell us what you’d like removed.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
